The role of the Southeast Food Access Program (SEFA) is to serve as the catalyst to assist with communication, advocacy, and accountability across city and community agencies. Its focus is to help all neighborhood residents to ensure that healthy, fresh, local, sustainable, and affordable produce is accessible in Bayview Hunters Point and neighboring areas, utilizing not only existing venues but also supporting transformation and/or creation of new ones.

The SEFA pillars include:

Healthy Food Access
Nutrition Awareness and Education
Urban Agriculture

The Southeast Food Access Program operates through collaboration with Shape Up San Francisco.
