James Bouquin, Executive Director

James Bouquin joined BVHPF in March 2021, bringing nearly three decades of experience through leadership positions in health, behavioral health and social justice organizations. His distinguished career includes serving as CEO of the Contra Costa Crisis Center, New Connections Behavioral Health, Ronald McDonald Charities Northern California and Cancer Support Community San Francisco Bay Area. James also served as Assistant Dean of Campus Affairs and director of several programs at Stanford University. He holds a degree in Human Biology from Stanford. 

 

James has served on several boards and advisory councils, including for the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, JFK University Sanford Institute of Philanthropy, Contra Costa HIV/AIDS Consortium and Homeless Continuum of Care Advisory Board, the President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities and United Way of the Bay Area. He currently serves on the board of Monument Impact, providing support for immigrants and refugees in the East Bay.

Pamela Gilmore, Chief Mission Officer

As a dedicated director and leader, Pamela Gilmore is committed to inclusivity and passionate about supporting San Francisco’s most vulnerable populations with transcending poverty to move towards self-determination. She joined the Bayview Hunters Point Foundation (BVHPF) in 2019, first as the Jelani Family Residential Step-Down Facility Director. Her skill, expertise and dedication led to several positions with increasing responsibility, including director of the Compassionate Care Teams at Bayshore and Embarcadero Navigation Centers and Division Director of Residential & Homeless Services. She became the Deputy Director in March 2021.

 

Prior to joining BVHPF, Pamela was Clinical Director at a local Bayview nonprofit. She has provided substance use and mental health services to families, adults, seniors and youth in clinics in both San Francisco and Oakland, as well as served as chairperson of a higher learning clinical psychology program and taught undergraduate studies at local colleges. Pamela holds a MA in Feminist Clinical Psychology and is a BBS registered certified Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, LPHA. She earned a BA in Liberal Studies/Human Development.  She is also a military veteran.

Anthony Davenport, Chief Facility Officer

 

Tony Davenport has served Jelani House and BVHPF in several roles for almost 30 years. He now manages a crew of employees providing maintenance and janitorial support for several BVHPF facilities. Tony also supervises outsourced IT and other administrative support functions for the agency.

Iyeshia Valentine, MS, AMFT #105463, Director of Community Relations and Outreach Housing Programs

 

Iyeshia Valentine is a registered associate marriage & Family Therapist in the process of becoming licensed. Iyeshia joined BVHPF in 2019 as a case manager at the Bayshore Navigation center. Iyeshia eventually became the care manager supervisor over 19 employees at the six different five keys Shelter in Place sites, which individually serve 40 to 450 guests. In 2021, Iyeshia became the Director of Housing Programs. Iyeshia has experience working with the unhoused population and people who experience mental health and substance use challenges. Iyeshia has worked as a substance abuse counselor a mental health clinician.
