* Congress of African-American Organizations (CAAO)
The Congress of African-American Organizations began after the economic crisis demonstrated that public dollars were waning; which made it more difficult for community-based organizations to serve the hard hit black communities.
Furthermore, the African-American communities continue to have the most pressing health disparities, and are over-represented in the following:
- Foster care
- Publicly funded substance abuse and mental health programs
- High school drop out
- Criminal justice system
A project of the Southeast Community Response Collaborative with funding from the Bayview Community Fund. The current chairperson is Jacob Moody.

The Human Services Network is an association of over 110 community-based nonprofit agencies united into a public policy organization dedicated to addressing issues critical to the health and human services sector of San Francisco.
The HSN supports this vital community of service providers by bringing a nonprofit perspective to the development of major policy initiatives. Through policy analysis, education and advocacy, HSN strives to create an environment in San Francisco that is supportive of a vibrant, healthy nonprofit community.
